Afterwards, in classical times and Roman period the island has bountiful sanctuaries and monuments. Followed by Christian, Crusader, Venetian and Byzantine eras, Cyprus is dotted with marvels scattered along craggy mountains, verdant plains, sweeping beaches, rolling hills and vineyards. It is also blessed with people who are renowned for their hospitality. Enjoy a tour around Aphrodite’s Cyprus. From ancient times visit the Curium Amphitheatre, Kykko Monastery (in the Troodos Mountains), the lace village of Lefkara popular for its handmade lace and paint artists, Tombs of the Kings (in Paphos), and Nicosia (the only divided capital city) are all worth a visit. Day 01
Depart USA to Cyprus

Depart the US to Larnaca arriving the next day.

Day 02
Arrive in Larnaca

Upon arrival, meet and transfer to hotel in Limassol. Check in to hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 03
Famagusta& Kyrenia

Pick up time from hotel reception at 08:00 hours. Our first stop will be at the viewpoint of the Ghost Town of the Varosha section of the town of Famagusta. Prior to the Turkish invasion, this was one of the world’s best-known tourist resorts with its golden sand beaches and modern architecture. We will take a walk in the old town of Famagusta, where you will see the wall of the city and the Othello Tower and St Nicolas Gothic Church, which is now a mosque. Next we will visit the Bellapais Abbey of 14th century – a masterpiece of Gothic art and an architectural monument of world’s importance. Our next destination is the town of Kerynia , where you may visit Kerynia castle. You can observe the impact of many different historical periods – Byzantine, Lusignan and Venetian as well as enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the old harbor near which the castle is situated. We will stop for lunch in the area. Lunch is optional and is not included in the price. Passing by the Capital Nicosia and the Green Line, we will return to Limassol. (B)

Day 04
Grand Tour

Begin the tour with a visit to LEFKARA village, where we will visit the Traditional House of LEFKARITIKA LACE and silver handicrafts. Here you will learn about the history and evolution of the best-known Cypriot embroidery and see some extraordinary pieces of art. We will then drive through the countryside, passing many beautiful villages and will stop for a coffee break at ASTROMERITIS village. Next, we will head up to the TROODOS MOUNTAINS, where we will visit KYKKOS MONASTERY- the island’s most prosperous and opulent Orthodox monastery. Dedicated to the Virgin Mary, the monastery possesses one of the three icons attributed to Apostle Luke the Evangelist. After we will drive to the highest peak on the island, MOUNT OLYMPUS (1951 m). We will make a stop at a picturesque mountain village, where you will have a chance to taste the traditional home cooked meat Meze and local wine. Lunch is optional and is not included in the price. Our next stop will be at Lambouri Winery where we will enjoy wines produced from local grape varieties which grow on the island's best grape region, the A-Zone, on the southern slopes of the Troodos Mountains. Last stop will be at OMODOS village, where we will visit the Timios Stavros Church of the Holy Cross. (B)

Day 05
Paphos & Kourion

Pick up time from hotel reception at 08:00-08:15 hours. Discover the ancient city of KOURION with its famous, magnificent GREKOROMAN THEATRE and buildings of the late roman period with beautiful mosaics. Visit the Birthplace of the Goddess of Love and Beauty – APHRODITE. Walk through the caves and CATACOMBS of St. SOLOMONI in the ancient capital city of Cyprus - PAFOS. See The PILLAR of St. PAUL, where he has been bound and lashed as a punishment for preaching Christianity. From the OLD PORT area, the VENETIAN FORT, you will have free time to discover the nearby ARCHEOLOGICAL CITY – KATO PAFOS (included in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list in 1980). Here you may visit the famous Mosaics, local shops and souvenirs, cafes and enjoy lunch at one of the many attractive restaurants in the Old Port. Lunch is optional and is not included in the price. On our return, we will visit GEROSKIPOU VILLAGE, where we shall taste the famous Cyprus Delights “LOUKOUMIA”. (B)

Day 06
Mountain villages of Agros & Kakopetria

Pick up time from hotel reception at 08:00-08:15 hours. Take a trip to discover the most traditional mountain villages on the island and local crafts. A beautiful forest road will lead us to AGROS VILLAGE. Here, we will visit a well-known local SWEETS WORKSHOP, where you will have a chance to see how the natural sweets and jams are made. Next, we will visit the famous ROSE WORKSHOP, where excellent Rose Water and Organic beauty products are made using traditional Cypriot methods. Our next destination will be the Church of Agios Nikolaos tis Stegis, which was included on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1985. It is the only surviving katholicon (monastery church) of an 11th century Byzantine monastery in Cyprus. It is amazing to see this entirely painted church. We will continue our journey to the traditional KAKOPETRIA VILLAGE, where we will stop for lunch in one of the village restaurants where you can try home cooked dishes. Lunch is optional and is not included in the price. There will be free time to explore this interesting village. Last, but not least, we will visit one of the largest waterfalls on the island MILOMERY WATERFALLS, after which we will stop for WINE TASTING at a local village winery. (B)

Day 07
Larnaca & Nicosia

Pick up time from hotel reception at 08:00-08:15 hours. Depart for the Capital of Cyprus – NICOSIA. Here we will visit the ARCHBISHOP PALACE, which took much fighting during the invasion of 1974, and St JOHN’S CATHEDRAL (AYIOS IOANNIS), within the courtyard of the palace. We will then walk through LAIKI GEITONIA – a traditional neighborhood of Nicosia with narrow winding streets and craft shops. In the Leventis municipal museum, you can view the objects from the history of the town and Island. Arriving at the liveliest part of the old city- LEDRAS STREET, you can enjoy some free time for souvenir shopping and the opportunity, if you would like, to cross over to the TURKISH OCCUPIED AREA of Cyprus. Next, we will drive to LARNAKA, where you will see the magnificent AYIOS LAZAROS CHURCH – one of the finest examples of Byzantine architecture. On the famous Palm Tree lined sea front – FINIKOUDES PROMENADE you will have free time to visit cafes and restaurants. You must bring your ID or Passport to this tour. (B)

Day 08
Akamas Jeep Safari

Pick up time from hotel reception at 08:00-08:15 hours. Explore the beautiful nature preserve on the coastal area of the southwestern tip of the island! Our first stop will be at the Birthplace of Aphrodite. According to legend, it was here, next to the rock of Petra tou Romiou, where the legendary goddess was born from the foam of the sea. We will then continue our way to Akamas Peninsula, where we will visit Avakas Gorge – a natural wonder of the island with 30 meters high limestone walls. Here, we will stop for a walk deeper inside, to get breath-taking views of the natural beauty. Continuing on, we will drive off-road to the famous Lara Bay, known as the breeding ground of the Green Turtles of the Mediterranean. The Cyprus Government was one of the first in Mediterranean, to protect the turtle population and beaches where they nest. We will stop at a traditional Cypriot tavern, where you may try a typical Cypriot Fish Meze (lunch is optional and is not included in the price). Continue on towards the natural pool, surrounded with greenery at Baths of Aphrodite. (B)

Day 09
Limassol to the US

Transfer to the airport for your flight back home arriving the same day. (B)
